Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy

  • I work with children, young adults, and adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety/depression, and grief. Counseling can be beneficial for anyone who wants to explore their emotions, understand patterns in their thoughts or behaviors, and work towards meaningful growth. 

    Therapy is particularly helpful for clients who: 

    • Are struggling with the lasting impact of early attachment experiences or trauma 

    • Experience anxiety/depression, emotional dysregulation, or difficulty coping with life transitions 

    • Want to process grief, loss, or challenging life changes 

    • Are seeking insight-oriented approaches to understand themselves 

  • I have experience working with kids, teens, and adults. I have worked with kids as young as 5 years old and adults in their 60s. I specialized in working with kids, young adults, and middle aged adults. 

  • I offer in person and virtual appointments in Florida. I also offer virtual/telehealth appointments in Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Washington. 

  • Currently I am in network with Aetna, Optum, Oscar, and United Healthcare. 

    Limited sliding scale spots may be available. If this is needed, please inquire! 

  • Your payment responsibility will depend on your individual insurance plan. During the intake process, you will be sent an email from Alma who I use for billing and you will have the opportunity to enter your plan information to learn your estimated payment. Though this is often correct, I always recommend contacting your insurance carrier as well to confirm these details so that there are no surprises down the road.  

  • I offer in person appointments in downtown St. Petersburg, Fl. I offer virtual appointments in Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Washington. 

  • Self pay allows for more freedom and privacy in our work together. Insurances require metrics to be met and allow for less flexibility and creativity in the process. Insurances can always request records, and therapists must provide these upon request. Benefits of using insurance coverage include affordability for treatment. 

  • Every state has different laws regarding telehealth care., Most states require the therapist to be licensed in the state in which the client is attending the appointment from. 

  • Counseling is a unique and individualized process for each person. I aim to offer a warm and comfortable space for clients to navigate stressors and life experiences to build more clarity and insight. We will establish our therapeutic goals collaboratively!
